We woke up on monday at the ridiculous hour of 8am for breakfast.. the breakfast was daamn miserable can?? Ok so it wasn't that pathetic..there was fried rice and all that but all of the food were cold T_T that breakfast was probably one of the worst tasting ones so far.
Oh yes! And to top it off it was RAINING. Cold gusts of wind+rain= does not make a bunch of people very happy. Somehow the roads were filled with lots of mushed up earthworms. Gross or whatt.
After exploring around one part of the campus, i had to admit that the campus was way huge and probably around the same size as orchard (i think, my estimation skills are not that exact but you get the picture) We visted their musuem, library, and their design block. First impression? I already mentioned huge, their outside facade isn't that bad but the interior's a different story altogether.. someone should totally hire a designer for them. Everything was so brown. White. Grey. DIRTY. (i shall elaborate about that later)
Anyway over at the design block we got introduced to our buddies! I was a tad bit nervous, cause like hellloo man my chinese totally cannot make it and i was worried that my chinese would sound like a different language to them... but i guess it was ok? My buddy's name was lushuang! Damn cute girl haha. (One of my girl friends has a unholy fantasy about her) All of them showed us around their whole design block which showcased their works. Their works are awesome stuff! We're practically leagues away. Even Jonathan the lecturer said so!! Oh well.
Lushuang brought me and rachel to this totally dilapitated canteen. God. i still shiver whenever i think about that place. The horror of it all... dirty walls, ceilings falling apart. The food was good though. DAMN cheap stuff. We got beef noodles for around 2 sing and their portions were HUGE. (i realise everythings huge in dalian) Happily eating... until one part of the ceiling fell down next to me-_-
To cut a very long day short, all of us (buddies and all) to the supermarket by bus (the bus ride was super bumpy) after some welcome ceremony held for us, proceeded to eat kfc, and celebrated the night by watching movies at weechai's room.
